Not a postcard

Before I start the road trip proper, I had to say goodbye to Seattle before I left the Pacific Northwest. There's no town like it in all the USA. This is where I worked at Kenworth for six months, but that's not why I like it so much. Them thar mountains on the horizon just about every which way you look, snow capped, full of possiblities, the ocean is right there, they got that downtown happening scene (I wouldn't want to mention Kell's, and especially not the Owl & Thistle), and of course the Monolith. Anyway, I didn't have time to go to the top of it...didn't have time to do much of anything. I knocked around with Scott for a bit. Here are some pictures I took of Scott at Large in Seattle.
Dawn Clayton It was nice to meet Dawn one last time. She'll be paying for all those Margaritas she had tonight, all week. She had some very interesting stories about what's going on down there in Nevada in them military facilities where they have a collection of alien spaceships that crashed or something, and, like, they're trying to figure out what the energy source is and stuff, but I better not go into detail, just in case THEY are reading this too......
She also took me up to the top of "?" (Dawn, what was the name of that hill where all the rich people just built a load of super-expensive houses?). What a view of Seattle. Dawn used to have to hike up the hill, but now it's all houses.....Too bad I never got to hike up to the top of Mount Si.....What can I say? I wussed out! Anyway, if you're interested, here's a good picture of Dawn and Bob, just after they got a really good deal at K-mart. (It's only there because they told me not to post it!)

I know, I know, no road trip stories yet....I haven't started yet, alright?
Come back next week sometime, maybe I'll actually make it out of the Northwest.

See where I am today......... Tell me where I could go tomorrow.....
